The Finnish pianist, winner of numerous first prizes, including the Leeds Competition, has
established himself as one of the finest pianists of his generation. His rich palette of sound colours,
his differentiated and songful phrasing and expressive intelligence are praised frequently. Especially
the releases of the three last Beethoven Sonatas (AVI-Music) and the Beethoven Triple Concerto
(with The Knights, Colin Jacobsen and Jan Vogler, SONY) demonstrate what an outstanding
interpreter Antti Siirala is.
He performs with renowned conductors like Herbert Blomstedt, François-Xavier Roth, Esa-Pekka
Salonen and Sakari Oramo, and with orchestras like the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin,
Bamberger Symphoniker, the Radio Symphony Orchestras of HR, NDR Hanover, SWR and WDR,
Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Wiener Symphoniker, Budapest Festival Orchestra, City of Birmingham

Milestones in the career of the youngest winner in the history of the International Beethoven Piano
Competition Vienna were his recitals in the piano series of the Berlin Philharmonic, at the Lucerne
Festival and at the Ruhr Piano Festival, and at concert halls like Cologne’s Philharmonie, London’s
Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, at the Metropolitan Museum in New York or Zurich’s
Tonhalle. Furthermore, Antti Siirala was artist in residence for three years at the Konzerthaus
Dortmund, featured in its series Junge Wilde (Young Wild Things).
Upcoming Highlights include concerts with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and with the
Prague Symphony under the baton of Pietari Inkinen as well as recitals with a programme
dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Finish independence with works by Rautavaara, Bach,
Brahms, Kaipaninen and Schumann.
He regularly performs chamber music with partners like Jan Vogler and the Moritzburg Ensemble,
Baiba Skride, Sharon Kam, Caroline Widmann, Tanja Tetzlaff and Lawrence Power.
In addition to the above mentioned recordings, SONY has released an acclaimed recording of
Schubert’s Trout Quintet together with newly composed and improvised variations on the song
about the trout as well as CDs featuring works by Brahms and Schubert transcriptions (NAXOS).

Der mit ersten Preisen zahlreicher internationaler Wettbewerbe, u.a. des Leeds-Wettbewerbs
ausgezeichnete finnische Pianist hat sich als einer der feinsten Pianisten seiner Generation
etabliert. Immer wieder wird seine reiche Palette von Klangschattierungen, seine differenzierte,
sangliche Phrasierung und gestalterische Intelligenz gerühmt.
Besonders die Aufnahmen der drei letzten Beethoven-Sonaten (AVI-Music) und des Tripelkonzerts
von Beethoven (SONY, mit The Knights, Colin Jacobsen und Jan Vogler) zeigen, welch ein
herausragender Interpret Antti Siirala ist.

Meilensteine des jüngsten Preisträgers des Internationalen Beethoven Klavierwettbewerbs Wien in
dessen Geschichte waren die Recitals in der Klavierreihe der Berliner Philharmoniker, beim
Lucerne Festival und beim Klavier-Festival Ruhr, in Konzerthäusern wie der Kölner Philharmonie,
Londoner Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Metropolitan Museum New York oder
Tonhalle Zürich. Außerdem war Antti Siirala für 3 Jahre Artist-in-Residence in der Reihe „Junge
Wilde“ des Konzerthauses Dortmund.
Kommende Highlights sind u.a. Konzerte mit dem Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra und den Prager
Symphonikern unter Pietari Inkinen sowie Recitals mit einem Sonderprogramm zur 100. Jahrestag

(NAXOS). Siiralas CDs wurden wiederholt vom Grammophone Magazin als Editor’s Choice
ausgewählt.
